Tea Leaf Prophecy

You could say this is a strange title for a first blog post, and I suppose it is. But it's the title of this quaint, peaceful little jazz song playing on my iTunes radio station right now that I can never determine the meaning of. I have decided to finally start a blog, after months of debating and procrastination, and I figured that instead of laying here on my bedroom floor just waiting for my, erm, current interest to text me back, I could actually be doing something with my time.

So, as an introduction, let me just say that Jesus is the number one thing in my life. I believe God planned out our lives for a purpose, and while I have absolutely no clue what that would be, I know that He gives each and every one of us special talents, and what I have deduced is that those talents probably have something to do with that purpose. I'm not saying I have a talent for writing, but I do score highly in English and I love to write. So I figured if I start something (this blog), where I can entertain my passion and also share about God, that would be quite the thing to do. I have no clue how to get people following this thing, but I shall try my best to do it.

Now, coffee. I would be dead without it. Just kidding. But at a very young age I attained a ridiculous caffeine addiction, which can only be satisfied with coffee. Literally, if I go a day without it I have withdrawal symptoms. It's bad.

And, why Hippie Gabbi? My friends call me that, not as in the drug-doing, sixties era hippie, but a twisted definition which basically translates in Teenager to: coffee obsessed, natural decor obessed, writing and reading and jazz obsessed person. And I do my best to own that definition.

Now that I'm done with that, I have two main concerns.

• My coffee cup appears to have gone missing. This is extremely troubling.
• I have to get two cavities filled and two teeth pulled early tomorrow morning. Let's just say I am not excited about this development. And I eat too much sugar, but I mean, really, nothing can change that.

And I would also like that current, um, interest, to bring up the coffee date that could be occurring tomorrow. It could legitimately happen and I am thrilled beyond belief at the prospect of that happening.

Okay, I am not really in a writing mood tonight but I will definitely be on soon. I promise! *One year later, has never gone on this at all.* 

NO, GABS! THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS TIME. JUST QUIT BEING TOO LAZY TO WRITE OKAY? Okay. I'm going to look for that cup of perfectly good coffee.
